Tanning Pre/Post Care

Tanning Prep:

  • Your skin must be as clean and soft as possible. Make sure to exfoliate your entire body focusing on the lower half of your legs,  chest, hands, feet, elbows, and knees. You can use a scrubbing mitt or loofa. Use a pumice stone on your feet if necessary.

  • If you have extremely dry skin, use an oil-based salt scrub exfoliator 36-48 hours prior to your airbrush tan.

  • Do not use any oil-based products within 24 hours of your airbrush session.

  • 4 or more hours before receiving your airbrush tan, shower using a non-oil-based exfoliator.

  • All waxing must be carried out 24 hrs beforehand, to ensure that your pores close prior to your tanning application.

  • Do not apply any oil, lotion, makeup, or deodorant as they will inhibit the solution from absorbing into the skin.

What To Wear:

  • Wear dark loose fitting clothing to your appointment. Do not wear tight undergarments, socks, shoes, or other clothing that may rub off the airbrush solution.

  • During your airbrush tan, you may wear a dark bathing suit, underwear, thong, or whatever you feel comfortable wearing to give you the most bare skin. Do not wear light colored clothing to avoid staining. If you plan to be tanned nude you must wear a tanning sticker.

  • Apply lip balm such as Coco Balm.

Tanning Aftercare:

  • Do not plan any activities that will cause you to sweat or cause your clothing to rub against your skin for at least 8-12 hours.

  • Do not bathe or swim for 8-12 hours after your airbrush session. It is preferable to wait at least 16 hours before using soap. Use only mild body wash.

  • Do not use any harsh soaps any time prior or after your airbrush session.

  • Do not apply lotion for 16 hours after your session. After that, apply only high quality, non-exfoliating lotion twice a day.

  • This product does not provide protection from sunburn.
